MyHealthTeams landed $1.75M in funding last week from Adams Street Partners and 500 Startups. MyHealthTeams develops condition-specific online and mobile applications that help people with chronic diseases connect. It currently offers networks for Breast Cancer and Autism.

Allscripts and Microsoft teamed up to provide support for interoperability in hospital systems. Microsoft will work to develop Allscripts’ Application Developer Program (ADP), an API that allows tools to be built on top of and beside Allscripts’ current enterprise offerings.

Healthloop brought on an undisclosed amount of seed funding from the Founders Fund and other investors. Healthloop specializes in the “medical mico visit,” which allows users to perform much of their follow up care online, saving doctors and patients time and money.

Sentara Healthcare, a network of more than 10 hospitals in VA and NC, partnered with MDLIVE to create a regional network of physicians available via telephone and online video. Through the agreement, Sentara Healthcare will gain an equity stake in MDLIVE and will employ their technology to build out the service.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA will fund and mentor Healthbox’s new Cambridge based class. Participating startups include: Aavya Health, Abiogenix, GeckoCap, Uprise Medical, iQuartric, Gweepi Medical, Bon’App, Health Delivery, and Yosko.

In a move that you could have missed if you blinked, West Wireless Health Institute changed its name to West Health and will now support four seperate divisions, West Health Institute, Policy Center, Investment Fund, and Incubator. The change was heralded by new CEO Nicholas J. Valeriani.

Welldoc hasn’t announced it formally, but SEC filings show that the mobile diabetes management company has secured $500,000 of the $10M the company is seeking in funding. Whether this funding is connected to the news last week of Welldoc’s partnership with AT&T and Alere Health is unknown.

MobiHealthNews reported that Alere Health acquired MedApps, the remote monitoring and wireless device company. Alere recently announced a partnership with WellDoc and AT&T, and now has a comfortable footing in the remote monitoring and patient engagement landscape.

Netpulse closed out its Series C round with $15.6M more in its pocket from August Capital. Netpulse allows users to track their workout experiences through sensors embedded in commercial fitness equipment, and also provides interactive media directly through these machines.
