HealthSaaS, creator of technologies that promote information sharing, launched the iPhone application, Pain Tracker Plus. The app is for patients who have chronic pain, and it allows them to keep a detailed record of their pain history.

The Center for Connected Health will soon introduce Wellocracy, a health and wellness platform for the everyday user with a mild interest in self-quantification. Wellocracy aims to simplify the art of self tracking through a series of ebook explanations.

At a medical equipment fair called Medica, held in Düsseldorf, Germany, Doctoralia won the AppCircus award for the best health care and wellbeing mobile app. Doctoralia‘s app lets users book medical appointments online and synchs the doctor’s and the patient’s agenda.

Health record and practice management company Hello Health raised $11.5 million in a round led by First Generation Capital Inc. The company has now raised more than $20 million in the last year.

Wahoo Fitness just released the Balance Smartphone Scale. The wireless scale tracks users’ weight and BMI and sends weigh-in information to an app via Bluetooth. Retailing at $99, it offers competition to Withings’ Wireless Scale WS-30, which costs $125.95.

Siemens Healthcare signed a $11.7 million multi-year contract with Intermountain Healthcare to deploy Siemens’ Image Sharing & Archiving software. Intermountain Healthcare is a Utah-based health care system of 23 nonprofit hospitals.
