Announcing the Portland Health 2.0 Code-a-thon, July 30th

This year, we’ve been all over the country with the Health 2.0 Developer Challenge, and we’re excited to announce that we’re headed to even more new territory! On July 30th we’ll host our first ever Health 2.0 Code-a-thon in the Pacific Northwest at Portland State University.

Health 2.0′s live Code-a-thons occur over the course of one day, bringing together developers, designers and raw data sets to rapidly build exciting new applications and tools for improved health care. Code-a-thons are a great way to quickly develop new apps, discover fresh talent and make new connections with like-minded individuals. The best solutions win prizes, so bring your top-notch ideas!

Whether you’re a developer, designer, patient or advocate, we want to see you there! You do not need to have a health care background; your skills are applicable and much needed in this area. Feel free to bring a pre-formed team or join one on the spot. There will be speakers, food, lots of coding, and at the end of the day, presentations from each team and the announcement winners and prizes. Registration is FREE and you won’t want to miss out.

Also, don’t forget to register for the Health 2.0 Network. It’s a great way to connect with other participants and to stay up to date with the Developer Challenge and Health 2.0 events in general. As a member you can join the group created just for attendees of the July 30th code-a-thon. We highly encourage you to connect with each other beforehand (it’s NOT against the rules!).
