Carol McCall Interview with Indu Subaiya

Carol McCall recently joined Indu Sabaiya for a conversation about the health care field’s preparedness to take on Big Data. McCall, principal at her consulting firm Health Analytics Innovations, will be one of our experts on the Big Data in Health Care Panel at the conference this fall. Though McCall acknowledges that analysts don’t yet have the resources necessary to harvest the full potential of Big Data, she believes they are starting to unite in turning their time and attention to data. Their mission is to answer one question: what works in health care? In time, McCall says data can be analyzed as evidence that tells us what works, what doesn’t work and even what is harmful.

In this interview she talks about the progress of the technical systems we’ll need to utilize Big Data. McCall says there’s still a lot of work to be done to advance this field. That’s why we’re looking forward to hearing more of her ideas at the Health 2.0 Conference.
