Mark Segal, vice president of government and industry affairs for GE Healthcare IT, and Matthew Holt talk Meaningful Use. Segal is up on the latest electronic medical record adoption numbers, and he explained that MU achievement for hospitals is right where the government hoped it would be. But the same can’t be said for physicians. “On the physician side, it’s not where they’d like to be but it’s really growing exponentially,” Segal told Holt. He went on to say that the number of physicians who achieved MU in January was a quarter of of the total who have achieved it overall.
