GE will work with North Shore-LIJ to implement the GE blueprint for low dose. With data analysis and improved Computed Tomography technology, GE aims to reduce radiation dose from CT scans up to 50%.

Viridian Health Management released MAESTRO, a data platform used to document the effectiveness of employee health programs. Viridian helps employers set up worksite health programs and services. MAESTRO integrates data to determine a health program’s performance and projected savings over time.

HHS announced the winners of its health care innovation awards in Nevada this month. Along with the those announced last month, HHS has made awards to 107 projects.

4medica launched Communications Gateway, an EHR platform for secure inbound/outbound faxing. The Gateway combines the 4medica EHR and MMRPro and MyMedicalRecords, which are personal health record tools.

Independa will incorporate the 2net Platform from Qualcomm Life Inc. into Independa’s telcare suite used for monitoring the elderly. 2net is a cloud-based service that wirelessly transfers, stores and displays medical device data.

The Health and Human Services Department announced the HHS Innovation Fellows Program. Applications are due July 20.
