QuantiaMD, an online collaboration network for physicians, partnered with the National Chief Residents Consortium to create the QuantiaMD Resident Exchange. The idea is to form an interactive library of case studies.

Basis officially made available its anticipated heart rate monitor watch, which the company first debuted more than a year ago at Health 2.0′s annual conference. The watch is priced at $199, and it continuously tracks heart rate patterns, motion, perspiration and skin temperature.

Xerox is hosting Harden Healthcare‘s data under a five year contract. Harden is a health care provider for seniors based in 14 states. With Xerox’s support it aims to create a a simplified IT environment and at the same time, advance its utilization of health IT.

Ginger.io closed a $6.5 million Series A funding round led by Khosla Ventures. Ginger.io is a behavioral analytics startup, which created a platform that delivers health insights to individuals and their providers.
