Health 2.0 Developer Challenge Code-a-thon Finalist: Team Transpera Health
The team members of Transpera Health walked on to the Google campus on October 2nd ready to get started on creating their health application. It seemed like they were one of the first teams to come up with an idea, grab a flip chart and start pounding away. Team Transpera Health used CMS Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and CMS HCAHPS Measure databases to create their application. The service introduces consumers to transparencies of health care prices and quality at the procedure and provider level and helps consumers make informative decisions.
Cathy Huang, the team’s leader, gave a wonderful presentation; she was clear and to the point. The judges at the code-a-thon liked the simplicity of the information and that the idea was a real need in the health care community. The team took the judges comments and critiques to prepare their final presentation at the Health 2.0 Fall Conference in San San Francisc, Ca, October 7-8.
