HP Interview

Hewlett Packard, the multinational computer and technology services corporation, continues to have a growing presence in the world of health care IT. HP works with both the federal government and private sector organizations to deliver technology-oriented health care solutions. A central task of HP involves working with large sources of clinical data and their interaction with devices, such as electronic health records, to make a difference in patient care.
Last month, Matthew Holt spoke with Dr. John M. Chandler, HP federal health care chief medical officer. Chandler discusses federal program initiatives and how they align with those of the overall health care system. He also talks about some of the emerging health care trends he’s seeing in his sector and which company projects he believes will prove to be the most revolutionary.
