Users can follow a friend or family member’s journey and offer support and encouragement along the way. The social boom of the internet has lent itself to the CaringBridge model very well, and in the past 14 years over 43 million have visited the non-profit site, which is powered largely by individual donations. In this video, Sona and Chris discuss the origin of CaringBridge, the uniqueness of the non-profit model, and Sona’s experience as a woman in the technology community.
