Health 2.0 Developer Challenge Code-a-thon Finalist: Team OSKIhealth
Team OSKIhealth is a team that came from UC Berkeley and one of the finalists of the Health 2.0 Developer Challenge at Google on October 2nd. The team leader Deepak Subramaniam, just like the rest of the team, was enthusiastic to present their new application. Team OSKIhealth chose to use the USDA – US Food Environment and CHSI report – For Community Health Status Indicators databases to create a way to present existing food environment information to city planners for better planning. The judges called the application innovative and liked the way that they used the varied databases. At the Health 2.0 Fall Conference in San Francisco, Ovtober 7-8, 2010, the team had the same enthusiasm as before which the audience and the judges took noticed.
